OCMA Physician Wellness: Letting Go of Being Right and Deepening our Relationships

Letting Go of Being Right and Deepening our Relationships

Date: Tuesday, November 15, 2022

Location: Zoom

Description

With divorce on the increase, working on having healthy and fulfilling relationships and partnerships is a constant opportunity. Sometimes we get stuck in being right about a perspective or point-of-view. Other times we have a challenge letting go of the many other things we are juggling in our lives and being present with our partners. In this workshop, we will be learning and practicing a communication tool to deepen intimacy and enhance all relationships, whether it is with your partner, or with a patient. Come prepared to not only learn, but to practice what you have learned with another person, so that it isn’t just a concept, but becomes something you utilize consistently in all of your relationships.

About the Speaker

Lynne Sheridan has trained over 65,000 people around the world through her work as a transformational trainer over the last twenty-nine years. She is passionate about people achieving their dreams, no matter what the circumstance, obstacle or consideration.

Lynne has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a full-time practice in Orange, California.

Lynne is the author of The Birds and Bees of Joyful Monogamy: Nine Secrets to HOT Partnering and is a relationship expert, with a wealth of experience in working with couples to truly connect, with a depth of intimacy, understanding and compassion. In that capacity, Lynne has designed and conducts three levels of Couples Retreats, focused on the growth offered through a long-term partnership and a deep appreciation for each partner’s role in the ‘dance’ of the relationship.

Through her work in transformation, Lynne is most inspired by the courage it takes people to go beyond their comfort zones, risking and letting go to become the best possible version of themselves. Lynne works on the art of Transcendence through Transcendent breathing and relishes the opportunity to work with people in experiencing who they authentically are, and their connection to the entire Universe as a Creator in the dance of life.

Lynne is the wife of an amazing artist and the mother of a twenty-one year-old son and an eighteen-year-old daughter, who consistently serve as teachers to her, as well as a constant source of inspiration.
