EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES LIABILITY INSURANCE (EPLI)

Many physicians have employees who are a valuable asset to a practice but every once in awhile some become a liability. Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) provides protection for employee-related issues.
EPLI is coverage for an employer in the event of an actual or alleged employment-related claim by or on behalf of an employee. EPLI will reimburse you for any legal expense, and/or damages and judgments incurred by you arising out of any claims for:
- Wrongful Termination
- Discrimination
- Harassment
- Retaliation
- Disclosure of Confidential Employee Information Resulting in Identity Theft
- Violations of Family Medical Leave Act or Similar State or Local Law
- Violations of Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act
- Breach of an employee's federal, state, or local civil rights
For further details, please review this sample policy.
As a CAP member, you receive Employment Practices Defense (EPD).
